Fleete is awarded a place in the eFREIGHT 2030 consortium to accelerate the uptake of zero emissions heavy good vehicles
Fleete are excited to announce that we have been awarded a place in the eFREIGHT 2030 consortium led by VOLTEMPO. The consortium is one of four projects selected to join the UK Government’s Zero Emission HGV and Infrastructure Demonstration (ZEHID) which aims to accelerate the uptake of zero emissions heavy goods vehicles.
The UK’s Department for Transport (DfT) in partnership with Innovate UK, the UK’s national innovation agency will invest £49.2 million in the project, which is expected to help unlock £500 million of private investment from consortium members in EV and charging hubs across the UK by 2030.
Through the ZEHID programme, Fleete will deliver four commercial charging hubs across the UK, and provide the digital platform software integrated with VOLTEMPO hardware to enable real time network management across sites and charging assets to the consortium members.
Work on the eFREIGHT 2030 project has already begun and will take six years to complete.
